Im watching a programme and the guy on it says "...... buried in a pre-dug hole.." Are all holes not 'pre-gug' holes? A hole doesn't just appear???

No. Holes do 'just appear' sometimes. See link below for example.

Yes It comes from people digging more holes to bury the soil

Maybe it was one that wasn't filled in right so it would then be pre dug yes!!!
