You have to go to med school. An Anesthesiologist is a doctor. If you want to be an anesthetist, you would not need as much schooling, but would not make as much money, either.

No, 4 years college and 4 years medical school and you're there. However, residency takes 4 years, and you get paid a minimal amount while working 60+ hour weeks.

You'll need to get your nursing license (4-5 years), masters in anesthesia, medical school, and then possible an anesthesia training.

Go for an anesthetist--it's the nurses vesion of it. You'll still get over $100,000 as a nurse though, and some places will even pay more.

very difficult to do. pick it if you can work this hard, otherwise choose somethin else
they make over $250,000 a years (not a joke, see the bls.gov website)

In the U.S. you have to get an M.D., which means that you get a bachelor's degree, generally, followed by medical school, which is often four more years. I don't know how much you do on top of that to specialize in anesthesiology.

four year getting a BS or BA degree in medicine and then 4 more yrs in medical school and then i believe you need 4 more in internships and stuff building up your experinece either way its a whole lot of work!! but its one of the hightest paying careers !!!!
