i've done the tools, options thing and normally this has fixed this situration in the past on home puter and lap top. not doing it on this puter at work????

You can always delete individual entries by highlighting (by hitting the 'down' button or just putting your mouse over) the word and hitting the 'delete' button.

Dear...If U R talking about Google Suggest Service...it will actually based on that. But If you want to clear..then there is an inbuilt facility call Clear Histroy. Just go to Google Toolbar help and Find easily.
