i've done the tools, options thing and normally this has fixed this situration in the past on home puter and lap top. not doing it on this puter at work????

Those can't be deleted. I don't use I.E. 7, but it might have the same feature.

It might also be that your work computer has some additional, employer-installed software that will not let you delete your history, as a way to keep tabs on employees. It's a shitty thing to do on their part, but if it's their computer they are entitled.

Dear...If U R talking about Google Suggest Service...it will actually based on that. But If you want to clear..then there is an inbuilt facility call Clear Histroy. Just go to Google Toolbar help and Find easily.
