People keep on saying about racism towards Shilpa but why do people think she is being racially abused? I read the article on aol and I don't see how she is to be honest. It says that Jackie refused to pronounce her name properly but that happened with Glyn last year when Richard kept saying Glen. I don't think that was racist! Jo said the chicken was under cooked so she didn't trust it, how is that racist?? Jermain is someone who is another race so if they were all racist wouldn't they make fun of him? I can't see a reason why this is racism, does anyone know a reason? I only watched the first episode so can someone fill me in. It might be bullying (which doesn't make it any better) but is it racism?

I'm not saying it isn't racist but the article on aol did not give me anything that would suggest it was, if they said that all indians eat with their hands then it may well be.

As far as the racism goes Jo and Danielle's conversation on the couch was kinda racist. Jo said maybe they cook chicken less long in India and then "maybe that's why they're fuckin sick all the time". And Danielle relating Shilpa picking food off people's plates to her race "they eat with their hands in India isn't it or is that China?... ew I dunno where her fingers have been" it's not a thing all Indians do in any case.
And as someone else pointed out what is with the constant use of the word "they"?

Racism does not exactly equal "white people who don't like non-white people".

And though not strictly relevant, racism exists between non-white people. An Indian can hate an African on racist grounds.

But I get your main point.....when someone hurts another, then there are plenty of possible reasons why and the race issue simply sticks out the farthest. Perhaps they just don't like her personality.

Jade isn’t racist, she is basically offended at Shilpa because she blames her for her mom downfall. She believes the time-honored public needed her mom out because of each and each and every of the arguments she changed into having with Shilpa, and so as that they blame Shilpa for Carol death. On numerous activities, Jade tried to be pleasant in direction of Shilpa, yet not something bared fruit. the human beings in there who're racist are Danielle and Jo, they say nasty issues about the Shilpa, and each and each and every of the racist attitudes come from them. Danielle is amazingly manipulative, she tries to make communique with Shilpa and then she comments decrease back to Jade and Jo, making the communique sound worse than it changed into. The media is despicable, they hate the way that Jade were given popular and they are attempting to adhere all type of airborne dirt and mud on her. I mission everybody to discover one racist remark, mockery or recommendations-set that Jade had in direction of Shilpa. i desire Shilpa win, yet i imagine Jade is getting the blame for the different 2 behaviour it is going to likely be on Danielle and Jo

fair enuf but its the way its being said. I mean the way danielle called her a dog, and the way she was talking about "her people" and the way "they eat" and the way "theyre always ill". When jackie left the house she referred to her as "that indian girl" yeh if i was to say that "white girl" that wld be labelled racist. And jo did say it was undercooked but then she also said thats probably why "theyre always ill". So none of that is racism, also including the fact that they take the piss out of her accent, and all attack her for no reason.

They are jealous because she is so much more than they. So they use the only negative thing they can think of to attack her. Typical acts of the lowlife.

My qualifications for this answer: married to an anglo indian woman and first hand experience of racism from the type of people who seem to think themselves fit to attack another culture but are barely civilised themselves.

True say. It could well fit into 'bullying'. Although immitating a persons accent, in this case 'indian' is something that is RACIST. Which i'm sure you will agree.
