I've often tried to live my dreams, and many times found that the reality crushed them totally.
but that doesn't mean i advocate not trying to make your dreams come true. the worst you can do is to exorcise some of those ghosts which have perhaps been haunting you for far too long.
but I've come to realise (quite recently in fact) that it's best to keep some dreams as dreams.
in my case i have one which i will never touch. it's a memory from my school days. I've sometimes dreamt of meeting "her" again one day; but, to run the risk of losing one of my fondest reminiscences just doesn't seem worth it.
i dream of meeting her, but hope i never will.

Living a dream is the best experience, but the dreams always look the best in a dream, the feel the best in actuality though. Human experience gives you more than a dream does. But with that position of experience and knowing a little bit of mystery is lost, and that mystery is part of what makes dreams so magical. Not knowing everything about it. But when you do know everything about your dream that you're living, when you can see all of the corners and you're living it fully and graciously, then it's more philosophical in the sense that you're revelling in the moment rather than hoping and wishing and experiencing this great exciting exhiliration that feels so wonderful it's as if it's impossible to attain.

Dreams are living energy as is all thought. Thought precedes reality. Sometimes dreams give us somthing to learn from on whatever is happening in our lives at that moment, or can be symbolic of a message that you need at that time. living a dream is great, thought is living energy as i said.and can precede a living reality. if its for the good of all then its a dream to live. Take care, Pat

Some people would say is better to live a dream rather than to dream a dream. But we are talking a 1-2-3 steps here, where you have to first dream your dream, and eventually make it true [live it].

my lifes pretty normal, my dreams are spectacular. i like to keep them seperate. in my dreams i never have to brush my teeth or do the dishes. but these things are part of every life. and if i lived my dreams (literally) these dull things would infect my beautiful dreams and then they'd be reality and become normal. and i couldn't have that.
i'm not saying don't strive for your ideal life. its just that you have to remember it'll never be quite like you imagine. and if all you're doing is striving striving striving... well you might not take the time and stop to appreciate whats good in the here and now.
its all about the balance i suppose.

My dream like everybodies would be to win the lottery, I would like to live that dream, even if it was just for one day.
Back to reality, I need to find a job

Dream a dream. Because when you live it, you will find another dream to chase. When you dream it you will enjoy it before it ends.
