If MLK hadn't been shot in 1968, he would be 78 years old today. What
would he think of the black race today, almost 40 years later? How
could he reconcile the fact that after finally being given the civil
rights which he so loudly demanded, black people, instead of bettering
themselves, have degenerated into a cesspool of drugs, violence,
ignorance, and AIDS. You still got that dream? Better keep dreaming.
What would MLK think of today's black leaders and activists, who will
organize a rally over the killing of a single black hoodlum shot while
pointing a gun at the police, yet have nothing to say about the
millions dying in Darfur, or Rwanda, or Zimbabwe. What would he think
of black community leaders who complain about inadequate funding for
hospitals and AIDS research, while at the same time, all throughout
that same community, young black males are shooting each other down in
the streets, sharing infected needles, having sex on the downlow and
then raping women?

In a way he was an opponent of Malcolm X. They wanted the same thing, but had in mind different ways to achieve it. That might be the reason some dislike him. I believe Malcolm X was a better man than MLK. The government has being trying to make people forget the words of Malcolm X by overshadowing him with MLK.

He would be disappointed that people like you exist. Yeah, there are some problems in certain Black comunities, but I highly doubt you are making any positive contributions either. You are just trying to find yet another excuse to talk down on Blacks.
