The Lady in the Water... is this a real fairy tale?

The Lady of the Lake's origins are probably ancient and pagan, like Morgan le Fay's, and she and Morgan may have ultimately derived from the same tradition. The first mention of Avalon, a magical island with which the Lady and Morgan are frequently associated, is in Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae; Geoffrey says Arthur's sword Caliburn was forged there, and says Arthur was taken to the isle after his battle with Mordred to have his wounds healed.

you must not be a science man. Because if you were, you would know that the chances of evolution actually occuring are of astronomical proportions. Pretty much the same as you walking down the street and picking up the winning lottery ticket... 40 days in a row. The bible on the other hand is incredibly accurate. Before you go off and throw God completely out the window. Try reading about Him and asking others what they think of Him. He's not magic, and I'd really like to know why you think that. I'm not trying to convert you or anything, but just as with other things in life, you can't make an accurate decision without knowing both sides of the story. And honestly it sounds like you never really gave God a chance. He'll surprise you. Try reading "A Case for Faith" or "A Case for a Creator". It can answer a lot of your questions with science. If you are honestly seeking an answer, you'll research and investigate. But ignorance is the foundation of hatred.

It isn't a real fairy tale- in the sense of having been written and retold like most fairy tales. This is just a story that M. Night came up with, and eventually expanded upon to write this movie.

The clue here is apartment houses, lawn sprinklers, swimming pools and lawn furniture.

Nope... M. Night Shamalam made this one up.

And, as the other poster points out... there is no connection between this story and the "Lady of the Lake".

I believe it's real. Nothing is impossible in the creation of God. We are not the only beings created. There are many different shapes, forms , and sizes of beings that exist. They don't have to look like us. God is much more creative than we could ever imagine.

No. It is a bedtime story that M. Night Shamalyan (sp?) made up to tell his children. It is unrelated to the story of the Lady of the Lake which deals with Arthurian legends (legends about King Arthur).
