Yes, I have a friend who has a 1957 Chevrolet Apache Pickup, and it is beautiful! Trucks were much simpler then - redone, they can be much better than the original. Like Tom T. Hall said in his song --"I love little baby ducks, old pickup trucks, -------" So to your question - YES.

I have several that have been restored to original condition. A 1955 Chevy, and a 1966 Checy step side. I also have a couple that have been upgraded like a 1932 ford modle A, 1950 ford and a 1968 bronco.

Ha ha, yeah I'm 30 and I want a quad cab with the 403 horse 6.2l. So, since I want one and I'm 3 years older than you I guess it makes it an "old man" truck. Maybe back it the day it did, when the GMC's were basically considered practical basic work/transportation trucks. Tell her you're gonna get the fully pimped Denali edition and see if she says it's an "old man" truck.

I think old trucks are neat too..I prefer Fords and then Chevy's..I think it's kinda sexy especially when they are painted and restored..!
