most people are just giving u parts of the story but here's the whole thing : it was originally reported by someone unidentified that Rey's contract expired right after wrestlmania 2007 however now they no for sure from wwe his contract expires in November 08 wwe is currently trying to sign Rey to a long-term contract but the wwe said if Rey doesn't sign the long term contract in the next couple months they will keep him under contract until November 2008 but not allow him to participate in any way just like there currently doing to Paul heyman and sabu to avoid them getting signed by tna tna said they are very interested in signing Rey . for Rey it could be wreslmania or it could be never.

Ok before his knee heals his contract expires. Well besides Eddie his best friend in the business is Konnan, and since Konnan wrestles for TNA...You can put two and two together.

He'll be back to Smackdown! in about 5 more weeks while he recovering from his knee surgery from last October. I am certainly looking forward to see him in the ring again.
