Now you're testing my geology lecture memory!

1) Medium grade metamorphic rock, the next stage up from slate and therefore subject to more heat and pressure. They are often formed from shale (sedimentary) or mudstones as they are most common at plate boundaries where the sea floor sediment is crushed.

2) Feldspar is a mineral not a rock. It can be plagioclase or orthoclase feldspar. If you are talking about a rock purley composed of plagioclase feldspar it is called anorthosite which is igneous not sedimentary.

3) Granite is a coarse grained igneous rock which shows that the crystals cooled over a very long period of time as they had a long time to form without disturbance. The magma is also acidic in composition (high in silica) and Granite is usually formed in large (miles to hundreds of miles across) batholiths deep beneath the surface and only formed at destructive continental plate boundaries.

4) Limestone is usually formed by a chemical reaction in sea water with lime mud and so deposited in shallow seas (think bahamas style!). It can also be formed by coral reefs which form in a similar environment.

5) Chlorite is also a mineral, or group of minerals rather than a rock. It is usually formed by metamorphosis of dark, dense minerals but can be formed by one sedimentary process as well.

6) Albite is a type of feldspar mineral that occurs most in pegmatites and acid igneous rocks like granite. It may also be found in low-grade metamorphic rocks when under low temp and pressure change and in certain sedimentary rocks.

7) Quartzite is formed by the metamorphosis of quartz rich sandstone. Pure quartzite comes from pure sandstone and is white in colour. A bit like kendle mint cake!

8) Sandstone can be formed in many many different ways. It is quartz sand and can be many different grades of sandstone depending on purity, garins size and shape etc. The sand grains are eroded from existing rocks of any kind and transported by wind, rivers or sea before being deposited and compacted by sediments that bury it. The sediments are then cemented by minerals that seep into it.

That was fun, I hope that helps!

All of the ones labeled sedimentary would be formed in the bottom of bodies of water. The two igneous would be formed from lava or flowing molten rock. The metamorphic would be formed deep in the earth under pressure.

truthfully. of path, that's likewise subjective, and each guy or woman likes particular communities/genres greater advantageous effectual than others, given their circumstances and personalities. yet a actual lover of music can detect matters to take excitement in in all music (even Merzbow). I heard an exciting factor on ASCAP radio (by using skill of iTunes) different day. It suggested the excellence between how we grow to talk melodic and non-melodic (e.g. rap) lyrical content cloth. in accordance to this methodology, our brains default to specializing in melody, as unfavourable to the lyrics themselves. it incredibly is why we are waiting to get a music caught in our head with out incredibly information the words. Rap, at different hand, would not have this luxury, and if the lyrics are not any good, all individuals can tell. Melody, in a feeling, is a trick of music-writers. learn the lyrics of any Billboard mind-blowing 10 pop music, and you'd be shocked diverse them have been ever devoted to paper.
