My family member had classic solitaire on her PC as part of the original program bundle (like who doesn't, right?!) She had a friend visit who knows nothing about computers. the friend played Spider Solitaire all weekend. When she left, classic solitaire was gone except for the icon! I have checked recycle bin, searched files/folders, attempted to retrieve all deleted files...What could I try/could have happened?

Could have diddled what the icon pointed to? (Right-click icon. Click "Properties". Look at where it says to find the game ("C:\WINDOWS\System32\spider.exe"?), then go find the file and see if it's still in *that* location - maybe it got moved somewhere else and you'll have to change where the icon points...

Try file search on "Find:";
Start -> Find -> Files or Folders. . . . -> Name & Location Tab -> at this point type in "*sol*.*" in the "Named:" text box. Make sure you have it "Look in:", Local hard drives (C:). Then it do a seach done on those parameters, should be able to find it. Good luck!
