cartilage continues to grow through out your life, hence the bigger ears and nose when your old.
also "hairs" in your inner ear that pick up sound become less efficent from the moment you are born, hence old people being deaf

Their ears don't get bigger, they just have less hair so it seems like it...

no they can't worth a dam n.... i'm a cna and i work with them... don't get me wrong their's the ones who hear perfectly but their the ones with the smaller ears HAHA IRONIC
