If I mark I mark the package "Media Mail" and have proper postage, will I be able to send the package? I normally go to the post office for this, but I am wanting to save myself a trip.

As long as the postage is correct and you clearly mark the package I see no problem.

I don't think so, you'll have to put a parcel or box stamp. These are the big white ones that say the address and such.
Again, I'm not sure, but the best way to send something unusual such as media mail, is to go to your post office.

If it is over 1 pound you can't drop it in a collection box. You must present it in a face to face encounter due to FAA security rules.

Sure just make sure it is enough postage. Better weigh it.
