I'm hoping they go to the World Series this year.

Its possible. Sports books are giving them 12/1 odds to win the World Series. There are only a handfull of teams that have better odds. The Diamondbacks and the Giants are the only teams you'll have to worry about getting past to get to the playoffs. The Diamondbacks are a far cry from a good team, but they did get the Unit back. The Giants beefed up in the offseason, but they may not be able to get past the distractions that come with the Juicer.
The favorite to represent the NL at the World Series is said to come from the NL Central this year. The Cards (enough said), The Cubs (spent +$300mil to get there), the Astros are always tough, and the Brewers are looking to have a good season.
If Nomar, Drew, and the starting rotation can stay healthy the Dodgers have a good chance.

We'll see..............

Yes you are the only one who thinks the Dodgers are going to the World Series next year.

I think they have a chance if the kids play up to their potential. TSN just ranked their pitching as the second best in the national league. Some of the big questions will be if Kent can return from injury, will they find a place for minor league batting champion Loney, and if power hitting super prospect LaRoche will get a shot by midyear.

Despite what the above poster said, the Astros and Cardinals just had their starting rotations depleted and each only have two dependable starters. The Mets are the main competition and their pitching staff was just ranked as 14th out of 16 teams by TSN.

The Red Sox I think will be a difficult team to beat, but they may have trouble as usual getting past the Yankees.

See, that's where you're wrong, I have it from a very good inside source that the LA Dodgers are going to the World Series this year. See, their front office bought 25 tickets to the games so the Dodgers players could attend, attend yes, play .. heck no!!!!

Okay first of all you and i both know we dont have to worry about no stinkin giants or dbacks, honestly i love our odds but my only concern is the cardinals, they have been kicking our butts for awhile now, i'm hoping that with Schmidt on board we can go all the way but my ONLY fear this season is st. louis once we pass them, there isn't anyone who's gonna stop me from having that victory parade down sunset towards elysian park.
