Make sure that you and your mate get a complete check-up to make sure everything is functioning as it should.
Fertility consultation could help. It could be something as simple as your lover wearing boxer shorts instead of briefs which can cause too much heat in the testicle area and kill off viable sperms or you could just need some fertility shots.
Find out when you are ovulating and try to have sex during those times as well.

Unless you have been to a doctor and they have found a definitive cause, I don't think anyone can give a definite answer. We tried for almost 5 years, doctors found nothing wrong. Finally I decided to lose weight (lost 40 lbs) and tried to reduce the stress in my life. We did finally get pregnant and now we have our second one on the way. Everyone says "relax and stop trying so hard". That is the hardest advice to follow, I know, but it may help. Also track your periods religiously, and try an ovulation kit. Good luck.

The easiest medical next step is to have your partner's sperm tested. It's least expensive and invasive. But more than that, I'd say you need to *relax*! I think energy has a lot to do with pregnancy. We're raised in a culture that pregnancy is bad, to get pregnant only when you're ready, be careful...all good advice, but it really gives our body a message that conception is a no-no. If you now couple that with stress, I think conception becomes that much harder. Good luck! I hope it happens soon but if it doesn't, don't freak. If you're in your 30's or maybe even 40's it can take over a year for it to happen.

If you have gone to the doctors and check yourself out and their is nothing wrong with you, then just be patient. You could be adding more stress on yourself, by just wanting to get pregnant. Just relax and have a good time having sex, when it's time for you to have a baby you will. My husband and I were so desperate for 6 months to have a baby, we finally decided that when it happens, it happens. One month later I was pregnant.

Quit trying and just enjoy practicing. Stress can be a major factor in not getting pregnant. The more you want a baby and try and don't succeed the more stressed you get and the further from your goal you get. Also smoking can be a hindrance.
