Tell me how it would effect the students grades, focus in class, over all behavior, and their happiness.

To be honest it is preparing you for college, I wish I had something like that back in high school of middle school. When you enter college you will discover that most of the time you DO have about two essays, projects, or presentations a week. Though it does seem harsh please realize that it is pruning you to be a better college student.

most of them would not be happy especially if they play on sports teams because they might not have enough time to complete each one and would rush and get a bad grade. it might a good oppition for extea credit though.

They have that???That is really bad, it stresses you out, you lose sleep and become tried during calss and are to tired tot ake in wots been said and to actually listen, you might even sleept horugh most of you lessons.
