Is there a way of copying a dvd which has protecion on it or is it impossible?

It can be done using free software down loaded off the net

DVD shrink 3.2 will decrypt and shrink the size of the movie file to fit on a standard 4.7gig DVD and DVD decrypter can decrypt but doesn't shrink. Be aware that to burn to disc using DVD shrink requires Nero

As a supporter of the rights of people to do as they like I can tell you that it will be cheaper to buy the dvd than get caught with the fake or copy...For gods sake they arent that good anyway..
Support the FACT...federation against copyright theft buy your cd's and dvd's dont support terrorism and illegal activities.

Yes, there is. And it's not illegal to use it as long as you're just using it to back up your own DVD collection for your own use.
