Many MP3 players let you get to it from Windows as a regular other drive with its own letter (D:, E:, F:) you just browse to it, then delete the file of your voice recording just like deleting a file on your PC... Right-click on it, and select "Delete".

Some MP3 players need their software to access it, so in that case, that software that came from the factory is the only way.

So it depends on whether you access the flash memory (or hard disk) of your MP3 player directly with Windows browsing, or use the software that came with your player.
