I personaly love the first Saw twisted ending the movie, as well as in the other 2, but the first one is the best, you don't expect it to happen, by the 2nd and 3rd you already know that something is goona happen but still it's pretty much impossible to guess what. I also loved the twisted ending in The Usual Suspects, Se7en, even in the old Planet of the Apes, the ending in the Cube was pretty cool too, but what is your favorite, and why?

I would have to say The Omen. The original version
Gregory Peck goes to murder his son in the church and the police try to stop him by shooting. You just hear the gunshot ring out and then it goes to the funeral where you see two coffins. You are so involved in the movie at this time, you forget that the wife has already been killed which accounts for one of the coffins at the funeral. When Damien turns around at the end with that sinister smile and look in his eye - the chills just run down your spine. Still scares me to this day.

Also - Arlington Road. Totally was not expecting that ending.

Redundant Spoiler Warning - You are in a section on movie endings by the way...

My personal favorite ending is from Memento. In addition to the mind job of its reverse (and jump) sequences - don't watch if you're easily distracted or confused - it provided a unique situation by which he knowingly and yet unknowingly used himself as one might "use" someone else. It was the kind of ending where I spent the couple days considering and realizing the implications of what happened throughout the film and then also about how we "use ourselves" even without having such a memory condition. One of the few films ever I've seen more than once in the theater.

I would say a toos up between Seven with Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman and Kevin SPacy, and Primal Fear with Richard Gere and Edward Norton. Having your wifes head delivered to you out in the middle of nowwhere to force you to kill was absolutely insane, and then the acting done by Edward Norton was absolutely incredible. The ending really drew you into this poor guys personality problem only to find is problem was the other way around.

The Barefoot Contessa. Old movie with Humphrey Bogart and Ava Gardner. She spent the whole movie not being able to love genuinely, only sleeping around. When she finally did fall in love, her husband told her on their wedding night that he had suffered nerve damage in the war and was impotent. She wanted to "surprise" her husband with a child that he could raise as his own and he killed her out of jealousy.

the last great twist I saw was Hide and Seek with Dakota Fanning and Robert DiNero. I was not expecting her to be talking about him the entire time and I loved it! Plus, it wasn't a cheesy horror/suspense movie.

The original Vanishing (Spoorloos)... NOT the American remake.

Simple reasons 1)you never saw the end coming and 2)you know how bad that end would be if you were in his place.
