That's what tiger barbs do - not much you can do about it.

Tiger barbs are a schooling type of fish. Groups in odd numbers work and look nice too! Keeping your tiger barbs in schools will keep them from bothering other fish for the most part, as they will chase each other.

tiger barbs are known for this behavior, if you must keep them together get a glass divider for the aquarium or you will find the swordtail with out a tail

tiger barbs should not be kept with other species unless htey are in a large school, return the barb
