I saw this programme too and found it very alarming. These so called teachers who are twisting the minds of young Muslims need to be rejected by the Muslim community. Where is the Authority for an extremist to stand up and call himself an Immam? Is there no Authority in the Muslim faith? If there was and Islam is truly peaceful then these Preachers of Hate would be ejected from the Mosques.

Don't allow multinational companies to exploit the poor and create poverty. Let the third world compete with there goods against the huge corporations with fair trade.
If your child was cover with flies and dying from dysentery you would be an extremist too. I know I would. I know most people will look for who is responsible, If there is a leader like Hitler or Asama who tells me he has knows who it is who is starving my kids and how I can stop it. Most people will follow that nut.
Take away the poverty and you wont have slime coming out from under rocks looking for fear and hunger to manipulate for power.

You cant deal with extremist as long as we feed them as long as we allow greed to guide our foreign policy they will just keep on popping up
It wont end until the children are fed. There is a vulture right now waiting for a child to die. Deal with that and you will deal with extremists.

Extremism has, and always will be an on-going part of our world. That's a tough realization to come to. What we can do though, is continue to put enough resources towards efforts that will "contain" terrorism and extremism. Its a fine balance - if we focus too many resources, then we see a drop in our own standards of living (no more moola for social welfare programs) and potentially a loss of our own civil liberties. Too little and we'll be reliving more of 9/11...

Has anyone really listerned to what they have to say?

There has to be a time when we all discuss are differences and come up with a compremise on both sides.

Every war (so called) has ended in comprimise unfortunatly no one is barve enough to take the first step.

First, change the channnel and find what other people think about that. Do not talk with your friends, but listen a "extremists", too. Maybe you will find that you have the same "face". "Undercover mosque's"? Nonsense! "Before its too late?" Sound as a politician.

Logic, reason, proving to the masses that there is more to democracy than governments that spy on their own people and rig elections, more to American compassion than Abu Ghraib, and if necessary a whole lot of righteous butt-kicking directed at those who will not agree to live and let live.

Education, extremists are driven by ignorance and the inability to see any other persons or groups point of view.

I blame the countries that let these places teach the hatred, until these countries take charge of these teachings its a vicious cycle that will just repeat itself unfortunately. Most of these fanatics are very poor and most have very little education if any.

We've been trying to deal with extremists by being extremists ourselves. I say we just ignore them and let them starve.
