I am trying to reconcile some conflicting statements regarding the war. It has been said that the US Government has a frosty relationship with the Shite Led Government, because most of the leaders have close ties to Iran. At the same time, the US wants to take out the Shia Militias, because the US Army believes that the Shia Millitias are funded by Iran and mostly responsible for the violence against the sunnis , The US also claims that if they leave, there would be an all out battle between the Shia Militias and the Sunni Insurgents. So how can the US accuse Iran of being a supported of the Insurgents ? Something doesen' add up. is Iran playing both sides or is USA misinformed ?

So, what's new? Need I to remind you that nothing ever added up to anything regarding the 2003 invasion of Iraq?

The invasion of Iraq was simply April 18, 1775, in North America and Texas allover! The plunderers are, yet, again realizing that they took a bigger bite than they can chew! I think this new strategy is simply a last resort encore of what the pirates/plunderers attempted during the Iran/Iraq war - turning neighbors against each other! Or, as Kissinger shamelessly said, "it's best to let them kill each other off," for "oil is too valuable a commodity to be left in the hands of the Arabs." See:

Shia and Sunni have been warring for centuries. It is not USA place to decide wich one is correct, it is a good plan to try and get them talking in a parlimentary open dialogue like a free democracy can allow them to, that much I can understand.
Isit possible? who knows, but it is worth an effort rather than ignoreing it. Is it our place or resposability? not really, but we somehow got involved, maybe was the all the innocents killed between Sunni and Shia fighting. I dunno, I back the troops, I think that only through open dialogues can any semblance of peace arise from the years and years of constant warring that only brings grief and no joy to anyone.
