All cells use oxygen to convert raw food products into energy they can use for health. In the process they make a bi-product which is carbon dioxide and waste material. If there was no cellular respiration the cell would die, because they would be lacking the oxygen needed for food conversion, and they would have no means of getting rid of their waste products.

Cells require chemical energy to function. Cell respiration is the engine that provides this chemical energy. Food (glucose and other substrates) is burned with an oxidant (usually oxygen) to capture energy for production of chemical fuel in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate). A cell without respiration is like a car without an engine.

The thing is, if we don't do cellular respiration, we wouldn't create ATP, which is energy, and so, we would die. Of course, we need energy for moving around and doing all the essential things we need to do.
