i have a negitive vibe in my house my boyfriend and his friend belive its a bad sprite so does my dog, so i wanted other peoples views on how to banish it. please no smart *** remarks from stupid people who have no lives!!!!

A sprite trap is a magical device used to capture troublesome or harmful spirits and ghosts. These devices refer to a sprite as a preternatural creature.

The sprite trap is created from a blackthorn stave and copper wire that has never carried electricity. During a ritual process, the copper wire is bound to the stave with red thread and the stave is marked with a Dag (or D) rune.

You do not need a Priest. Often this will only aggrivate the energy.
The bast way is to cleanse you home with salt water, and tell the spirit to leave, that it is time for it to move on to the next plane. You should do this in every corner of your house (especially North, South, East, and West corners).

Yes--if you're religious, bring in a minister or priest. If you're more of a do-it-yourselfer, salt and sage are the biggies for protection.

My favorite cleansing ritual is to crack the windows and then go from room to room cleansing the house by each "element" -- Start with salt, and toss a little into the corners, saying "By the power of Earth, negativity be gone!" Then use incense smoke, sage smoke (you can get bundles of sage to burn at Whole Foods Market or new age bookstores), wafting it into the corners: "By the power of air, negativity be gone!" Then you circle the house again, with a candle, letting the light of the flame tickle into the corners: "By the power of fire, negativity be gone!" Finally, you go through with a cup of water, tossing sprinkles of water into the corners: "By the power of water, negativity be gone!"

After that, you want to state three *good* things you'd like to be in this space, since a vacuum could only suck back what you just banished--something like "I now draw Safety, Love, and Peace into this space." Some people will draw a protective symbol on each window with water (depends on your idea of protection--a cross? a smiley face? a pentacle?) and put black crystals, jet or apache tears, by each door to keep the bad stuff our. Some people will envision their home encircled by a bubble of protective blue light, and leave a quartz crystal somewhere near the center of the house to "power" that protective shield. Some people will hang a knife (blunt, please, and hang it securely!) over the front door, stating that only good is allowed back in.

I do have a life, but think you are probably imagining it.

Why not try moving the furniture - if it s bad spirit, it will let you know it doesn't like it.

Why not get rid of the boyfriend for a while and see if it isn't his socks in the washing bin that is causing the bad atmosphere.
His mate might just be helping him to cover up...

Can't you convert it to a good sprite. Simply kicking the sprite out is a bit heartless, where would it go, who would it turn to?

Sometimes a sprite just needs an arm around its shoulder and to feel wanted.

Hi - I work as a medium and see this sort of thing often.

You can start by telling it to go away. Say in a firm voice, "Go away! You are not wanted here." Usually when you shoo them away, they will go.

If this doesn't work find some sage (check online if you're stumped.) You can sprinkle it in the corners of your home or if you get the kind that burns (more work than it's worth) take it through each corner of each room in your home. (Spirits like to hover high up in corners.)

You can also sprinkle salt outside your windows and when you are laying in bed at night, picture your house inside a beautiful white bubble. (Sounds silly but it does work!)

A shaman should be able to help you. They can give you specific instructions and prayers to recite as you drive it out of your house and away from you. If you can't locate one then a priest can help. All you have to do is bless your house as you pray and order the spirit to part from your house and from you.

There are several ways you can cleanse the house. Smudging works really well (burning sage and or cedar). Cleansing the house with salt water (washing down walls, etc...) is helpful.

After smudging, spread sea salt (kosher salt will work also) around the perimeter of your property. Nettles and black salt also work well as a protective agent.
