Okay, i live in oklahoma and im NOT CURRENTLY staying with my mom im staying at my aunts house so i can go to a hell hole of a school that my mom is making me go to because she doesnt like the schools in our town, she says they give us to much freedome....w/e...anyways, i LOVE my mom, God knows i do, but i cant stand her and i want to live with my best friend sam and her mom and i need to find out how i can get emancipated and what the laws in oklahoma will allow me to do can anyone help me with this....?!?! also, i might be pregnant and i know that if i am my mother would try and force me into abortion which i am SO NOT FOR!!!! HELP!!!!

Okay, i found out that you have to have Parental Concent, to be Emancipated with exceptions....i dont know what those are....but i want to know if i cant get concent are there any other ways i can make this happen?????

You CANNOT be forced into an abortion. You CAN be put under extreme pressure from your mother, however. What do you think her reasoning for wanting you to have an abortion are? Your best bet, at this time, is to:
1. Figure out if you are actually pregnant. If you are, continue on down this list. If you aren't- do all that you can to avoid becoming pregnant at least until you are an adult. Trust me, life will be SO much easier if you do.
2. If you are, talk to your mother. Let her know what your plans are. Where will you stay with the baby? Will your friend and her mother let you and a baby stay with them? How will you work and go to school? What about the father of the baby?
3. Emancipation is a long process. Don't listen to the people that tell you that once you have a child, you are emancipated. It isn't true. You will still be unable to sign legal contracts (except as your child's guardian), you will still be unable to work any job that requires you to be 18 or older, you will be unable to get your own apartment or obtain any form of credit. Feel free to email me if you have questions about this, ok? It's confusing! Real emancipation takes time, money, and just cause. Call a lawyer that specializes in family law. You should be able to get a consultation over the phone for free.
4. Find a good adult role model to help you out with all of this. It sounds like things are crazy at home and that you could use some solid advice.

I dont know anything about the law in Oklahoma but you can check it out at your local courthouse..just call in if your to shy to stop by. But as far as the abortion you may be under 18 but its your body and your mother cannot force you to have an abortion. If she attempts to push you in that direction there are some really great sites about abortion if you just search a little. And after she sees how horrible it really is Im sure she will change her mind. And if not..the day that baby is here she will kick herself for ever wishing you would have destroyed it. Good Luck.

FIRST OF ALL DEAR HOW OLD ARE YOU? YOU CAN CALL YOUR LOCAL SOCIAL SERVICES AND ASK THEM. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A NORMAL LIFE. I THINK YOU HAVE TO BE AT LEAST 16 TO GET EMANCIPATED. THEN YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD CAUSE. TALK TO YOUR MOM AND SEE IF SHE WILL LET YOU LIVE WITH HERE FRIEND. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT SHE CAN NOT MAKE YOU HAVE AN ABORTION. GET A JOB AND SHOW YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILD OR AT LEAST HAVE THE FATHER GET A JOB. YOU WILL HAVE A REALLY HARD TIME GETTING EMANCIPATED UNLESS YOU DO SO. TRUST ME. IF YOU ARE PREGNANT TRY TO ACT RESPONSIBLE SO THE COURT WILL SEE THAT. IT IS HARD TO DO THAT. BUT IF YOU HAVE A GOOD CAUSE AND ARE AT LEAST 16 YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO. No your mom can not force you to have an abortion. But if your not pregnant I would suggest protection if you were still going to have sex. Wait until you are out of school and are ready for the responsibility. It really changes your life. If you are, Good luck and I hope you do well with the baby.

How old are you??? If you are 16 or over your mom can not force you to do have an abortion, it would be against the law and lead to her being arrested.
If she tries to do something go to a teen pregnancy housing place, you can find one by looking in he yellow pages or calling the operator.They will help you threw your pregnancy and provide medical care and most of them have a GED program

First you should see if you're pregnant.Well if you are you should explain to you're mom that you are definatly not get an abortion!!!! I am a Cristian, I don't know about you but I do know for a fact that abortion is wrong. You're mom can't make you have an abortion it's wrong!!! If you are below 24 why are you pregnat in the first place!!!??!! You should not get an abortion but also you should not get pregnat below 24!! Go see a doctor about it. And aalso you should definatly go to the Crisses Pregnacey Center, you should also bring you're mom!!!

Although you love your mom which is good and you should but she cant force you into having a abortion, its your body and your choice, not to sound mean but you sound like your young I would seek help from another family member like your aunt for help go to the doctor talk to them you need to take care of yourself now you have a baby that's growing inside you and you need to be healthy... there is alot of help now out there so seek it!!!

You are lucky to have your mom, mine died when I was ten.
Your mom it doing what she thinks is best. You are lucky your aunt is willing to take you in. Sending you to a school that is stick is not a bad idea if you think you are pregnant.
Your mother can not make your have an abortion. You only have to the doctor no.
I Think you should trust you mom and talk to her.

well its not up to you mother to deside if you keep the baby or not. if she continues to argue with you over it then tell her how you feeel about it. you do things that happen and now you have to take the responsiblilties for your actions. i was only 14 gettin ready to turn 15 when i got pregnant. my mom said she would kill me and make me get an abortion. after she found out she tried to get me to get an abortion but i talked to her about it and she understood that it was my responsiblility for my actions. just tell your mom how you feel and it will all be ok.

to get emancipated from your mother you would have to get lawyer and go to court. no one can make you get an abortion, it's totally your decision. however, if you are pregnant, your mother is no longer legally responsible for you, so you would be emancipated.
