Heavy bleeding during early pregnancy is not a good sign. This is called a "threatened miscarriage" meaning a miscarriage may occur or be in progress. If you are soaking one or more pads an hour (don't use tampons as this can introduce bacteria into the uterus) and if you are having cramping or severe abdominal pain you should go to the ER. There are other causes of bleeding too, like ectopic pregnancy usually catagorized by brown spotting and severe pain and fever. I had bleeding that was bright red during my third month and continued to spot for a month after that. Mine was caused by a "vanishing twin" meaning I was pregnant w/ twins and miscarried one of them. I'm 21 weeks now and everything looks okay. Another cause can be a blood clot under the placenta or near the cervix. You should call your doctor and ask him/her if you need to be checked out. Good luck to you.

When a females first will get pregnant she would spot somewhat across the time she will have to have her interval. Other than that one time, there will have to be no bleeding. The first time I obtained pregnant, approximately five weeks after I began to bleed. It was once like a ordinary interval. At 6 weeks I had a miscarriage. If a females bleeds at the same time pregnant, there's a particularly well danger she will lose the little one. Sometimes if there's bleeding and the surgeon catches it quickly ample, they are able to provide the females a few med's to give up it from taking place. I desire this has helped.

Well I have heard of having a period during pregnancy. Some people do. But if anything I"d go see a doctor, because it could be really bad. If your bleeding and it not be a period.

I was bleeding heavy with blood clots during week 6.
I'm still pregnant so it probably wasn't anything serious.
My dr told me that it could be normal or had a twin and lost one.
So it's best if you go get blood test to check you hcg level.
good luck

heavy bleeding is a sign of miscarriage. contrary to what people say, it is impossible to have your period while you are pregnant unless you have two uteruses. you can bleed while pregnant, but it isn't the same as your period and the bleeding should never be heavy. i would call your doctor immediately.

I'm not sure. But like the person on top said, it could be a period because that is likely. But, have a doctor check it out.

I'd make a Dr's appointment as you could be having a miscarriage if its that heavy.

See your doctor. I urge you to, It could be nothing but it could also be the start of a miscarriage
