My periods have been screwed up too. I got off the pill in November, and my period was 4 days late, and only lasted 3 days (usually 5-6). The second period I had was 2 days late, and was only 3 days long as well. It takes a while for your body to get back on track. Hopefully this next period will be normal...or maybe non at all ;-)

It took me five months to regulate and ovulate after being on the pill for 6 long years.
I had one and two day periods and even no period at all for the first 5 months coming off the pill. Yes that two day bleeding was a period for that month. I am not sure if you ovulated or not, but that was a period. Your period might not arrive this month. If it doesnt come by mid Feb make an apt so they can regulate them. I was almost to the point of going to the Dr. but my Gynecologist advised me to wait a couple more weeks and sure thing it came after being missing for 60 days or so...lol
good luck ttc and take care.

I came off the pill in July of '06. My periods were really messed up until about 2 months ago. Yes it was probably a true period just your body trying to balance itself out again. Dont expect to concieve right away.....7 months and still trying here...

It's very common for your periods to be quite messed up for a while when you come off the pill. If you think you might be pregnant, do a test. Otherwise, you will just have to allow your body some time to get back to normal.

I was in the same situation and enden up being pregnant. My period was 2-3 days long and somewhat light then when it was time for my next period it never came...and then the next ..and so on. So I dont really know if it would be a "true period" but your doctor can explain that better for you.But you may have already gotten pregnant!! Good Luck.

It took me 5 mos after getting off the pill to become regular again. For 4 mos I had nothing. Each person is different and it can take some up to a year to get regular again. Hang in there and if anything seems abnormal just ask your dr they can give you better info than any of us can, after all they are the ones that have been treating you and understand your body better.

It was for me. I thought I would count from going off the pill, but my period didnt start until exactly 28 days from the false period.I went off mine about the same time you did after 5 years of being on them.

It can take a LONG time to get a regular cycle after going off the pill. After I went off, I never had a regular cycle and it took me 9 months to get pregnant with my first baby. Try fertilityfriend.com.

Nah, the pill can make your periods quite weird and irregular. Even when you get off of it you can still show the side effects from it. It might be that way for awhile.
