No, there is nothing wrong with you. When you are taking birth control pills, your brain thinks that you are pregnant and you don't ovulate. When you stop taking them, you do not really get a period, you bleed as a result of estrogen withdrawal. Since you skipped a couple of days, your body went through estrogen withdrawal and has not responded yet to your taking them again. You may have skipped taking the pills on the 14th day of your cycle and you may have ovulated. If you are sexually active, use a condom as well as the pills to be sure that you don't get pregnant. Keep taking the pills as you have been and your cycle will go back to normal again. If you are having trouble remembering to take the pill everyday you may want to ask your doctor about a patch or a nuvaring.

Sweetie, your diet nor the xray has anything to do with it. I assure you, there is NOTHING wrong w/ you:

If u miss 1 day you are supposed to take it as soon as you remember and take the one for that day at its regular time

If u miss 2 days you are supposed to take the 2 pills as soon as you remember and take 2 more the next day. If this happens, usually females start to spot (bleed a little)

BUT if you miss 3 days in a row TECHNICALLY, you are supposed to stop taking that pack because at this point your ovaries have released an egg.

From your question, I'm guessing that you have missed 3 or more days OR you were taking them on and off...and now you are either spotting or have a period.

Stop taking your pills and continue a new pack on the Sunday after you've had your period. Or what ever day you've chosen to start a new pack. Doctors suggest Sunday because its easier to remember when you've started a new pack.

Also, if you have had unprotected sex you are at risk for pregnancy. The life span of sperm in our bodies is about 5-6 days. When ever you forget your pills it is IMPORTANT for you to use a backup method i.e. condoms. If you are not in a monogamous relationship meaning, your partner is also faithful to you, you should be using condoms anyway...just to be safe because half the time guys and girls are confused about symptoms of diseases and/or they're afraid to go to the doctor.

Also remember to use backup contraceptives for the next 2 cycles (pill packs)...your body has to get used to the pill again.

Try to pick a time of day thats good for you to remember to take it..i.e breakfast, lunch, dinner, right before bed. Or you may want to talk to your doctor, he or she can advise you on the best contraceptive for you!

Good Luck & B Safe

If you miss even one pill it can mess up your cycle. I once switched birth control brands, missed one pill, and then had my period for a month straight! Keep taking your pills as normal, and once you start a new pack make sure you take your pills at the same time every day and don't skip any. I would also recommend using a condom for the rest of this pill pack since you skipped more than one.

Well usually when you dont take the pills that are there for your period to start it all starts to build up. You should follow your pills closely and if you cant remember to take your pills then you should get something a little more easy like a patch.
