i was in hollister yesterday with my friends and this indian girl came in with her african american friend who was overweight. my friend was all, " are they even allowed to shop here? shouldnt there be a rule against it??" i was hurt by this comment and surprised. i wouldnt think she would say something like that. my other friends that i was with were very surprised as well. do you believe she was being racist and what are your thoughts on that. do you agree or disagree.

Even though i am indian myself, i go to hollister and abercrombie all the time. I guess i should be mad but it seems to me like your friend is just ignorant, not racist. Just because these stores are aimed at white people, it doesnt mean that only white people can shop there. in fact i know an indian guy who works at a hollister too! so obviously hollister is open to hiring blacks and indians, so why cant they shop there?

Well i would sy thats wrong of you friend just because someone is a diffrent color or size does not make them any diffrent than you. We are all equal. That girl your friend was making the rude remake about might be a better person at heart than your friend. she might as well been going through depresion causing her to eat alot or it could be gentic. We can't always control what we look like. I would not say she was being so much racist but just more like judging with your eyes. I do agree with you because you have a right to fell that way and thats how you should always fell when something like that happens.

Hollister isn't cheesy in any respect. a number of their outfits are costly and the cloth is low-value yet others I even have had for years. maximum of my outfits come from hollister yet i'm getting alot of it interior the revenues area. it would not make you caught as much as positioned on hollister. i like hollister better than abercrombie because of the fact they have better outfits and are actually greater good cost. yet another keep like hollister is American eagle they have amazing stuff.

she was wrong both ways...yeah shes being racist and prejudice. What just because your overweight doesn't mean you can't shop at hollister? I'm overweight and if i want to i WILL shop there...imnot saying ill find my size...but I do have the right to BE in the store dont ya think...and what kind of people do you talk to... it doesn't matter if your black white or indian you can shop wherever you want! Hollister isn't specially made for "white" people or else the store would say Hollister, "whites only" this is pretty funny considering its MLK day haha...what are we being segregated all over again...maybe you shud think about the kind of ppl you hang out with...people tend to be like there friends...i would like to think you wudnt want to be like ur friend...neways this is just my opionion...idk if u were that overweright black girl and accidentaly heard wat ur friend said wudnt u b 1-emabrassed and 2-upset....i kno if i was that black girl and heard that your friends twiggy little butt wud be in half...lol!

well you cant control other peoples mouths... unfortuneately

just treat every person as an individual, thats the best you can do to avoid racism.

i think that everybody is racist to some degree, most people that aren't white do very little to hide it. sometimes even brag about it.

i dont like it but i can tolerate hanging out with people going on and on about white guys this and white guys that.

whats funny is that at football somebody called my buddy a monkey (he's black) and he was all freaking out on the sideline and had a little group of spectators sympathizing when i walked up and loudly reminded him about his comments from a couple days ago regarding "light skinned brutha's arent as good of athletes" and so on.

we have several players with white and black parents and they all started laughing and pointing him out and saying ya that does sound like you! and then we were all laughing and after the game everybody shook hands.

the girls shopping were probably talking **** about white girls who cant dance. they may not have even been offended. even if they were, oh well its their issue with your friend not you. after all you are not the race police

moral of the story: people talk, theres nothing you can do about it

..wow. I am sorry, but your "friend" is a b*tch. People should NEVER feel lower than others when they shop certain places..I know a girl who hates going in there because she feels lower than other girls there. That was either a racist or just plain discriminating comment..please slap her for me.

Sounds like she was just thinking so hard, it slipped out of her mouth. Many think it, but it is a free country and different strokes for different folks you know. As for your friend, talk to her and make sure she know how you feel, if she's a good friend, she will listen.

No doubt your friend was being prejudice. That was really ignorant, I agree with you. I'm not sure I would even want a friend that thinks that way.
