Got grandma's old fur coats--very nice in grandma's day, but not too politiclly correct today. They were very very expensive coats--some werre more than $10,000 50 years ago, so they are in storage.
So is it worth continuing to pay for the storage, considering they may never be worn in public again? Should i give them to chariety, etc?
Any advice?

I believe you need to ask yourself the question of how much sentimental value do these coats have to you, and your family.

If grandma is still alive you should ask her. However if she is not ( my apologies). Decide weather they are going to waist away in storage, and be devoured by moths. Or weather you and your family can find some use of them. Maybe not to wear, maybe to wear. I am sure that whatever you decide will be the best choice for you.

You may be able to sell the coat, no, you are able to sell the coat. It's a matter of if you want to get rid of it or not. A textiles museum would love to have something like that to display, as most people don't want to kill animals anymore. The price you get will be determined by the maker of the coat. Good Luck.
