I am 27wks pregnant... can i be experiencing morning sickness again? The past few days i've been feeling nauseous - then last night i spent alot of time with my head over the toilet bowl (again!!) and once again this morning i am feeling nauseous.... very similar to the first 14wks or so of this pregnancy - and i've ruled out any sort of food poisioning or anything cause i haven't really had an appetite over the last few days (again.. too familiar!!!).

Anyone else had morning sickness come back again? I don't think i can handle it AGAIN!

Yes, it can come back. You probably need to eat more. For many people it is related to keeping your glucose levels even throughout the day. I had horrible morning/day/evening sickness for the first 6 months of two pregnancies. Here are some things you can try:
1) Eat saltine crackers frequently. Every 15 minutes frequently. Keep them by the side of your bed. Before moving or getting up, eat some and wait a few minutes. For some people just getting and keeping food in their system helps tremendously.
2) Preggie pops which can be ordered on-line. They have ginger in them. Supposedly ginger helps some people...It did not help me but you never know if it will for you. I attached a link to them below.
2) Sea bands for the nausea. They are used for sea sickness. They can be purchased at most drugstores. They are worn on your wrist and apply pressure to a point on your wrist that actually did help me. It did not elimate it but took the edge off.
3) Morning Wellness CD (link below). This did not work for me but you listen to it at night and it is supposed to help with the sickness.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck with the new baby!

I too am having the same problem. I had morning sickness every day all day long from the time I found out i was pregnant until I was 16 weeks along. Now, i'm 29 weeks and the sickness is coming back! I have been barely eating anything again because it is too unbearable during some parts of the day. I talked to my dr about it the other day and he said that it is not uncommon for the sickness to come back, because it is caused by a rise in your hormone levels. During the first weeks your hormone levels are up and then decrease as your body adjusts then levels out...thats when the morning sickness goes away. Then as the end of your pregnancy the levels rise again and causes some people to have the sickness again. He also said that you need to pain attention that it is not caused by contractions brought on by preterm labor. Anytime you feel sick and are contracting you need to go to the hospital asap! Just try to keep fluids down so you dont dehydrate! Good luck!

It can come back, but that doesn't mean you should rule out a stomach bug or food poisoning. Especially with some types of food poisoning, the incubation period can be as long as 2 weeks. People often inaccurately blame their food poisoning on something they have eaten recently, when the tainted food was consumed days before. The fact that you haven't had much of an appetite in the past few days could mean you were starting to come down with something and now it is full blown.
Try to keep fluids down, and if things get bad, call your doctor. I hope you feel better soon!

Morning sickness can come back or stay all through out the pregnancy. I only had the 2nd trimester free. It is perfectly normal to experience this. Your doctor can prescribe you something to help with it if it is getting too bad. As always talk to your doctor about anything that you may be experiencing. He will know exactly what you need to do. Everyone is different and experiences different things. A great book to get is "What to expect when you are expecting". It will guide you through the entire pregnancy and tell you what to expect. Good luck!

Yes, I got morning sickness a few times even after the initial 3-month torture of never-ending vomitting at the beginning of my pregnancy. For that, nothing helped - but, for the nausea later in the pregnancy, Preggie Pop candy drops worked great for me! Also, making sure that my belly was full helped too. When I was hungry I'd get sick to my stomach. Good luck!

Unfortuantely, yup...it can come back. I didnt have a horrible case of it in my earlier weeks, but it came back around 30 weeks...usually just when I got out of bed in the morning. The doctor gave me an anti nausea medicine, but it made me feel loopy, it and it worried me that I was hurting the baby. But the doctor confirmed that, indeed, it comes back for some people. I am sorry! Good luck with your pregnancy!!

yes you can have morning sickness at any time during your pregnancy howevver, be advised there is a stomach bug going around lasting betwen 24-72 hours, so monitor how much and many times your getting sick to let your dr know, also make sure you don't get dehydrated (very important can cause you to go into preterm labor if you are)

yes you can get it again. at your 3rd trimester your hormones change again and this can cause the nauseous feeling. also you'll experience a loss of appetite because the baby is getting bigger and pushing on your stomach, which also causes heartburn.
good luck with the rest of the pregnancy!
