The same way everyone on the right is a "neocon" Nazi, fascist, etc.... It is juvenile name calling that occurs when one or the other lacks the ability to debate,

I think of a liberal as someone who attacks, not debates our president and our country. If you don't agree with me it doesn't mean you are a liberal, you have a right to your own opinion and me mine. But if you are saying Bush is stupid he lies, do you as a Democrat want to claim this as comming from your party? I sure wouldn't. My whole family is Democrats and I love them dearly and we don't agree on to much politically but I don't consider them liberals.

That's starting to irritate me as well. Most of these people here jump to conclusion on the drop of a hat. I've seen you chastised as a liberal, yet your expressed views are those of a pragmatic conservative.
Bush is not representative of classic conservative views. This new social conservatism, or neocons as it is called, has really obscured the political landscape.

The biggest problem is that so many claim to be moderates but surely hold to very liberal beliefs. I know many conservatives that do not support Bush, but then again, there are many so called "moderates" or even "Goldwater Conservatives" that go under these guises but argue for very liberal stances.

I do not use the term liberal. I say Democrat. Just like the other side calls every conservative a neocon. I am no neocon I am a fiscal conservative. More of a centrist that leans right because of fiscal concerns.

I guess for the same reason that all liberals think republicans/conservatives watch Fox News. When you disagree with a liberal they call you a Nazi and Fox News watcher.

It is just a way to distinguish between two extremes.
I wouldn't get too concerned, plenty of Americans, and plenty of Y!A users fall somewhere in between.
I'm pretty sure the TOS would not allow much more discrimination than that.

Only a liberal would ask such a question because liberals "feel" & as you stated in your question Republicans "think".

RedsStaters have poor peripheral vision. They don't see any other choice.
It comes from years of watching Jerry Springer on a small TV
