Ernie Ball(imho Not even slinky and Super slinky are my favourites) all the way. Elixir Strings are overrated I have No idea how these strings gained in popularity, I can't think of any musicians off hand who promote them either.

It's definitely about preference.
Some will say Elixir which have a nanoweb coating that prevent wear and tear on strings, they really sound great too.
