They could be ingrown hairs or razor burn. I can't shave there because I get razor burn. You could try just keeping it trimmed instead. You can get some wonderful trimmers that look a little like beard trimmers (which, in a way, they are) that can get it trimmed very short. You can even take off the hair guide to get it shaved with it around the bikini area. Another option would be to either switch to a depilatory (do a skin test first for allergies!) or having it waxed.

The bumps are either ingrown hairs or irritated hair follicles. Try getting the area lasered - the results are great and last a lot longer than a shave.

Those are ingrown hairs. It's pretty normal with shaving or waxing. The best way to avoid them is by exfoliating with a lufa or some other good exfoliator (like apricot scrub) after shaving. You need to do it once a day to keep them from happening. I would recommend waxing over shaving for numerous reasons.

Wait until it clears up before shaving again. And when you do, make sure you are shaving the same way the hair is growing instead of against it. This will help with the rash.

Ingrown hairs. Believe it or not, there are sites on the internet that tell you how to shave your "areas" without getting ingrown hairs and the itchy rashes. Do a search on google for umm... pubic shaving tips or something like that.

some people just don't have skin that is conducive to shaving. Make sure the razor is sharp, clean, and you lubricate it when shaving (aloe?). put a little witch hazel on it when you are done (diluted if necessary). You could always go for a waxing, but it hurts. worst case scenario? don't shave, trim. why do you want to look like you're pre-pubescent anyway?

ingrown hairs are not fun. try shaving in the bathtub with a new razor, along with the way the hair grows. use shaving lotion or soap at least. or wax! wish i had better suggestions. these work for me.

It is ingrown hair follicles. If you are not careful you could get staff from the localities. try using Nair. It really works good. It will say not to on the bottle, but it won't hurt anything. Just be careful not to get it in the vagina.

This works. After you shave splash witch hazel. Doesn't burn. It is the main ingredient in after shave.
