I have a laptop computer that has a LAN access driver and claims to be Bluetooth enabled. I just got a Samsung SPH-a640 cell phone that is also Bluetooth enabled. Should the laptop not recognize the phone? I set the phone to be "always visible" and no matter what I do, the computer does not find the phone. Why? It should be able to do this wirelessly, right?

It definitely should be able to do this wirelessly. Now just because you set the phone's bluetooth to always visible, does not mean that it's always on. On most of the phone that i've had, that was a separate option from actually turning it on. How about trying it backwards and seeing if your phone can search for devices using it's bluetooth, specifically your laptop.

That's so easy to answer. Why can't you ask something more difficult - like "what is the meaning of life"??
