If Jesus was a Muslim, would we still have Christmas? Sounds pretty dopey, eh? Well, Dr. King was black and he could not have done the things he did if he was white. And no, white people, cannot speak for the injustice black people suffered as effectively as a black spokesman. If you were around in the 1950s and 1960s, you will understand.

There was every opportunity for there to be a white MLK. No white man stepped forward.
So the answer is no.

No as there were others during his time who were white and were stating the same message of racial equality but he was the one who stood out as he dared break the rules as a black man and speak out publicly. He lived his final years in constant fear of being hurt or killed for being a black man who dared speak out about the inequality of black americans.

If he was white and still did all he did for the African-American community, then yes, today would still be a holiday.

No I don't believe so. People might take this the wrong way, but there's not a whole lot of celebration of Lincoln in the black community, even though he freed the slaves, and died for it too

If he accomplished all that he did and was white, then yes. However, I doubt he would be the leader of the Civil Rights Movement if he was white. But, you never know.

It should be. Race should not make a difference. If it does make a difference, then this nation would still not have egality in races, meaning MLK didn't do anything.

No, but then again, if King was White, his entire existence would be completely different. So you're question is moot.
