ok..first is this right about igneous rocks and how they form?
---Igneous rocks are formed when lava or magma cools. They could form above or below the surface.

I need to know how metamorphic rocks form. somethin short and straight to the point. and not just pressure or heat

Igneous rocks are formed when lava or magma cools, they can also be formed by solid rock being melted and then reforming as a different rock although all minerals must melt for it to be classed as igneous.

Metamorphic rocks are previous igneous, sedimentary or metamorphic rocks which are then changed by heat or pressure (that's how they're formed I'm afraid!).

More details are that metamorphic rocks are not solely created by volcanic activity. They can also be created simply by the amount of pressure placed on them from above/below and the sides, e.g. continent to continent collision cause extreme pressure and heat.

metamorphism is a solid state technique besides the actuality that it could happen interior the presence of fluids, there is not any melting of the rock factors. Igneous demands the melting of the rock cloth. of path, at extreme grade metamorphism, partial melting oftentimes happens, so which you eventually finally end up in a zone of blended commencing place from that view of igneous as against metamorphic. there's a transition and not a pointy substitute while one progresses from metamorphism into igneous strategies.

I am pretty sure that is right about igneous rocks. Metamorphic rocks are formed from pre-existing rocks as a result of intense heat, pressure, or chemical processes

you are correct about igneous rocks!

as far as metamorphic rocks you could say:

They are simply altered versions of what used to be an igneous rock, or what used to be a sedimentary rock.

altered by heat and pressure (I know don't say it, but that is the mechanism)

hope that helps! :o)
