(teens) How pressured do you feel to dress well?

Just wondering how others feel..

I don't really feel pressured to dress well, it comes easy for me.
The girls and guys at my school dress the same, like sluts and wannabe gangsters with ghetto clothes.
It's so boring. I like to dress proper, because I'm better than them and I don't have any problems showing it.
Just my opinion...

does something like this count; a 14 year old that's in 8th grade, thinks that she has no cloths.This is what she has;15 pairs of jean(name brand),30 shirts or more, the undergarments are way up their too, so she tels me on a daily bases that she need more clothes that she has nothing. Is this what you talking about, if so, YES!!!!! It's called peer pressure. I say uniforms in school, then at least you kids have more clothes to have fun in.

Very pressured, especially since I go to a private boarding school with loads of kids who can afford to shop at Burberry, Marc Jacobs, etc.
I still dress the way I like, though.

well, last year, as long as didn't stick out i was fine. this year, i'm in the 8th grade and i want to break out, like, wear somthing most people wouldn't think i would and that would express myself, but i don't want to be looking so dorky that people would give me strange looks in the hall. so, pretty much, very pressured. on the scale of 1-10 i would say around......7.

thanks for asking our oppinions. most teens don't get to have say in anything because most adults think that we are "too underage to count". that's what i like about yahoo answers/questions. we can't be judged by our age.

Peer stress is so vast everywhere all of us at my college events beverages and does drugs ( properly maximum) and function intercourse - yea its so uncommon now adays to discover a school that dosent have that & its relatively unhappy iv'e under no circumstances had a single drink , under no circumstances performed drugs defanitly no intercourse. Im merely not into all that stuff its immature and peer stress is retarted if i'm getting asked to drink all I could say is not any and its over. in certainty in case you have self controll you dont experience that folk have controll over you - which peer stress finally ends up in. & i will assert not as quickly as have i felt peer stress over those issues, I merely dont get entangled in those form of circumstances or activities. If i had to % over going to a occasion or going to the action pictures with a pair of pals- i might fer particular % the action pictures. & The dressing section yea its defanitly frustrating in highschool , yet you may recover from the reality that all of the people won't in any respect count on your destiny... and who cares what they think of- its a standard element to assert although yet once you particularly guard your self adequate you will under no circumstances fall into peer stress or feeling you may look a undeniable way sick dress how i want to mad funky what ever by way of fact i comprehend that i might so be apologetic approximately following people when I become previous. All i will assert is that if people think of im a loser or w/e by way of fact i dont do those issues or i dress my very own way thats their situation, not mine. And being your man or woman guy or woman is powerful, following what all of us else does is frustrating to not do yet once you follow what you suspect and dont supply a crap relating to the people in college then it turns into relatively ordinary. Its a pressure for me becuz i dress fancy. & my friends don't and it makes me feel weird cuz i get all the attention everywhere we go.

Tons. I go to a private girls school, and I am like teh girl they look at for fashion advice. I shop from BCBG, Ralph Lauren, Juicy, and others. I have pressure to give them good looks.

Sort of pressured.
I follow only the trends I like and that flatter me, and try to add some of my own style to my outfits (like, idk, a pair of sneakers that I made or different earrings in my first and second piercing).
I try not to conform.
