Make it into a game or a dare.
Many men I know would not find it too embarrassing to wear them once for their woman.
You could even barter it with him, if he wears hose, you will wear something he really likes you to wear. Or, make a bet you know you can win and the looser has to wear hose.
Or, just tell him it is a kinky fantasy you would like to Role Play. If he is in love with you, I am sure he will go for it.

Just ask him, that depends on the person, I've heard of some men that think that is hot, and they are not gay at all. The worst thing that could happen is that he refuses but it's worth the try. I asked my boyfriend to do it so, but he said " No Way" :'(, that's a shame because we could have had so much fun!!! :), anyway at least I tried it. The thing is that a men that accepts that needs to be so secure about their sexuality, that they won't feel weird doing that for the woman they love, but some other think that if they do that, they will automatically become gay, is stupid but that is how they feel.
