Just tell him that you are ok with the fact that he is gay.
And add that you are mot into it.
So he better drop the subject.

Well, you will upset him. It's not by any means your fault, but if he's crushing on you and you're not interested (by simple fact that you're straight), he's going to be upset about it.
You, actually, are amazing. Most straight guys when put in your position say "eww, man, that's nasty! get away from me!" The fact that you came here to try to figure out what you should say or do speaks volumes.
The best you can do is say you're sorry, that you're straight, but that you really want to still be friends with him. In all likelihood it will be awkward for a while, but hopefully he'll realise that having you as a friend is pretty awesome in the first place.

Just think if you had feelings for a girl, but she only wanted to be your friend how would you feel? If I ever dared to do that I would feel so insecure after exposing my crush. So keep that in mind, plus he is gay and you aren't that's even worse, sorry. Talk to someone who you both know that he is out to (make sure they know all ready or it will be a mess!). Now I think is super cool of you to not get all freaked out and tell him off, I wish I had straight friends like you. Time makes the difference, sooner or later he will get over it, not over night though. If he is a good person he will respect your decision.
Just cross your fingers that he gets a date soon so you can both relax.

Youll just have to tell him the truth. He might get upset, but he has to accept the fact that you are straight. And dont worry about your friendship, it's not like he expected the same feelings from you.

Just tell him nicely you have no problem with his sexuality but you dont find you could share the same sentiment,you want to still be friends and have agreat time together but one day he will find someone to love and whom could love him back in that specialway but your not him.Be nice and considerate and be a pal we all love our friends indifferent ways maybe he just wanted to let you know how special you are to him but doesnt expect you to want a relationship tell him you like girls and your honoured by his declaration just that he's not for you sexually

If he told you he had sexual feelings for you you guys will never have a healthy friendship unless your gay also it wont work trying to stay on just as friends.

Politely tell him you aren't interested but still want to be friends. If he stops being friends with you for that then it's his own problem.

Let him down gently. Tell him that you are confident in your sexuality - and that you aren't interested in guys - be kind about it and make sure that he knows you have his back. Send him over to http://www.youthresource.com/ he can talk with the peer educators there for more one on one advice.
