Yes, it is very sexist.
Patriarchal society treats women as an object solely for the pleasure of men. If two women are making out, they are obviously doing for the benefit of the men.
One of my lesbian friends is somewhat on the femme side. When she's out a bar, guys will often hit on her. She lets them know that she's not interested, and they persist. She repeats herself. They persist. She says "Look, I'm a lesbian. I'm -not interested-." And they become more persistent than ever. Straight men don't generally think of lesbian as "oh, this is a woman who loves and is sexually attracted to other women" but rather as "oh, this is a woman who doesn't mind making out with other women, and that's kinda hot."
I for one find it insanely hot when two guys make out, pretty darn hot when two girls make out, and kinda ho-hum when a guy and a girl make out.

Why would them being married or not change whether or not they are kissing in public? If a couple is going to kiss in public being married won't change that, well in most cases it might reduce the amount of kissing in public. Both of my daughters have a good understanding that some people are attracted to the same sex. We explained it to them honestly when they were much younger and they simply accepted it.

You've stumbled upon America's biggest heterosexual glitch: the fact that most "straight" men find the idea or sight of two women kissing to be "hot" but the same men get all freaked-out at the idea of two guys going at it, because they're afraid one of the guys will make a pass at THEM. It's not so much the "pass" that scares the guy, it's the idea of the guy making the pass being as persistent and demanding as he, the "straight" guy, would be if the situation were reversed and HE was the one making a pass at a female.

Because we live in an inherently sexist society.
Men are still supposed to be dominant and lead women, whereas it is perfectly ok for women to fall into lust, because women are victims and can't think for themselves. Therefore, it's ok for women to be led into sex with other women, because women are basically weak and shouldn't use their brains, but their bodies, and there for men's pleasure (whether it be WITH them or providing them with entertainment). Therefore it is deviant. and not manly for a man to behave the same way.....MHO
Yes, we are very sexist.

I think all kissing is hot but I know what you mean.
It is sexist. And because men are typically the ones who get to define what is sexy among women and many of these men are afraid of gay men because they don't understand them, this double standard has emerged.

I'm a woman and I can say that I get my rocks off watching two hot guys kiss. If men like to watch women kiss, then there's nothing wrong with watching men kiss too.

I agree that that form of thought is sexist. To me it's the same difference.

I am not that PC. If it arouses me to watch two women kiss, I don't think that is anyone's business. The attempt to neuter normal human feelings by trying to label them as aberrant is very harmful.

It's way sexist. But there's something pitiful and sickening to watch men kiss. Hot women are hot whether they are kissing guys or each other. That's just the way it is.
