You bet it's worth every dollar, but it also depends what you are going to use it for.
One nice thing about it is you will not have to be thinking about up-grades as it's all there except the Windows Vista. That I my self would hold off on for awhile till all the bugs have been worked out.
Here is a very good way to see about how much it may be selling for elseware as well. go to http://www.ebay.com and search for that modile as well as others. You will have thousands of choices as well as lots to compair.

Hi there! It's alright but one thing that bothers me is that for a USD900.00 portable, why the limited 1-year warranty. Just something to ponder. Would it be better to have a 3-year warranty? Good luck!

Considering that I got mine for GBP439 I wouldn't have thought so as mine is slightly better.
Try the Dell Inspiron 6400 Media Centre with Vista free upgrade.

Go for it, thats an awesome laptop. I havent seen a laptop with 2GB of memory under $1000.

its worth it, but i would recommend spening more and upgrading your processor, a centrino is not the best you can get. also, a 128 graphics card is not optimal if it is gaming you want, if it is work you want to do, this laptop is too much, something cheaper would be better.

it is not worth it. Some laptops goes on sale about $500 something. I bought mine at $549. mine is brand new too. Office depots' laptop are on sale very often.
