In America, you are classified, by the way you look. The One Drop ***** Blood Rule, still applies and dates back to slavery and the Jim Crow Laws. Examples of the same thing is Tiger Woods, Hallie Barry. Your birth certificate identifies you at birth as one or the other.

Check out the fact that most African Americans are not totally of African, White, Native Ameican or Asian Ancestry and are a mixed, group of people.

Look up the One Drop Rule Law on line that was written by Caucasians and See the Classic Movie: Immitation of Life, that should explain a lot.

I can.
It only takes a drop of blood from a Black person
to make you Black.
All these little Bi- Racial children are the Race of the
dominant ( darker ) color of the parent.
White paint, add a drop of Black- you get Gray
another shade of the Blackness.
There is a Austrian movie titled,
" Rabbit Proof Fence ", it's interesting that, that happened.
Did you really believe White and Black Parents
would have a White Child?
The Child can be born looking White,
marry a White man, and have a Black Baby.
That's one reason why some people don't like
the mixing of Races.
I don't care.

The Kenyan daddy left the white sluut mommy when Bearback Obominaton was only 2. This is typical African male child-rearing.

So the little mulatto was raised by nothing but Whites in a White environment. Still, the sin of the mother is very obvious. Genetics are destiny. No sane White would say that Dumbo is White.

The one drop rule. Putting it at simply: If you mix chocolate syrup with white milk, is the product "dark white" or "light brown"? Plus:
a. Most people think has more ******* features than Caucasoid features.
b. Last I checked, between 85% and 90% of all Black people in America have some White blood in their veins. If we did not have that one drop rule, the majority of people we know as "Black" would get put into a "mulatto", "biracial", "mixed race", etc. category, even though they probably do not even know about their White ancestor.

Barack Obama's father was a Kenyan (African) and his mother was an American woman from Kansas.

His father was attending college in Hawaii as a "foreign student" when he was born. He is an American citizen but is truly an African-American.

This is a typical mix in America. Most Americans are a mix of ancestors. He identifies with the African lineage. That's fair enough to me. My mother's father was dark Welsh. I self-identify as Welsh.

Where are your ancestors from? What I noticed in visiting western Canada, is that small towns tend to reflect a single group of settlers.
One town was Dutch and one was Russian, etc. Even the cultivated fields reflected practices from the "old country".

In the US we mix. It's called hybrid vigor when you're talking about plants.

Because looking at him, you see African American. And, since waaaaaaay back in US history, if you had a drop of black blood in you, you were considered black. He still deals with the things a black person would. The fact that he's half white, does not make the black go away.

Because in America there is a "one drop rule" that is still on the books. If a person has 1 drop of "black" blood, then they are black. It's an actual law.

Why do you think they kept saying Halle Berry is the first black woman to receive an Oscar. Halle's mother is lilly white. Doesn't matter, in America Halle is still black.

I've got a good feeling that with all of the race mixing that the rules will change, maybe a new race will be created that incorporates only those of mixed blood.

because of the fact mixed human beings (black and white) nonetheless have been given an analogous therapy as a hundred% blacks. inspect US historic previous. keep in mind Plessy v. Ferguson? Plessy replace right into a million/8 black and nonetheless confronted discrimination. it is why over the years mixed human beings stumble on themselves as black. they gained't get taken care of as totally white and you recognize it. i've got considered posters by Tea occasion supporters calling Obama a N@#%% and a monkey. Plus Obama DOES cherish his white ancestry besides as his African ancestry.

Because as a Democrat it's politically advantageous for him to play on his African parentage to attract the black vote. He's actually mixed African, European white and Semitic (which some folks count as white and some don't). So long as he toes the party line, the NAACP and other black lobby groups will count him as one of their own; let him become a conservative and see how quickly he gets put down as a 'half-breed' or worse.
