I am doing a homework assignment and I have to come to a concluion, but I know absolutely NOTHING!!! about grass. Please HELP!!!

Green in winter - Fescue, Ryegrass, Bluegrass.
Dormant and brown in winter, but NOT dead - Bermuda, Zoysia.
Green south (N Hemisphere), but brown dormant north -St Augustine, Centipede.

Midwest cool season blue grasses,rye grasses,fescues,&bentgrasses, kentucky bluegrasses.They grow actively during spring & autumn when temp. are cool 50-65 degrees in the soil &60-75 degrees air temp.cool season grasses flower in late spring or early summer.
Results stemmy turf during that time. Good Luck

Annual grass dies each year
Perrenial Grass regrows each year

It completely depends on the area of the country where you live.

Call your state university extention agent's office. They'll be able to tell you what's best for your area.

Annual vs perrenial you can at least look that up....
Zoysia , and crab crasses die off in the winter.
