I try to cram everything I can into my two days off. It's precious little time, and there's never enough. I spend time with my wife and son AND do personal things. I rarely hang out with friends. All of my friends are still single and I just can't be a part of that crowd anymore. I have too much responsibility on my hands for drinking and/or any such reindeer games.

I work 5 days a week , 101/2 hours a day. On my days off there is nothing like spending time with my wife and children. My philosophy is " If I can't do an activity with my family , then it is not worth doing" The only exception is 45 minutes of working out on Sat& Sun. And I do that in my garage

If, as a man, I worked a full five days away from my home and was totally wiped because of what I do, the last thing I would want to do is spend time with someone else requiring my input. Time off is for "dumb" time. It could be spent on the couch, but should always be spent with family. At the end of it all, it doesn't matter what we accumulated or what we did, it is only about what we left behind, which is our family and our genetic material.

Shouldn't your personal wants be to spend time with your wife and kids ? Didn't you hang out with your friends playing pool enough growing up ? When you get married and have kids your life is supposed to change. When will men understand that ??

My husband says he would rather hang out around the house and do things here and rest a little. He also likes for us as a family to go ride the four wheelers as often as we can, maybe with some friends. He has a friend he likes to go fishing with every now and then, but not every weekend....Maybe once every few months.

What would really be a treat on his day off for any man who is married and has kids would be to have his wife and kids give him their undivided attention when he talks, do anything within reason that he asks be done, have the children if under 18, obey what he tells them no matter what it is, with out any back talk and do that for all day each of the 2 days he has off.
Do you think you could pull this off?
I bet the farm that your answer is not only no! But h_;; NO!!!
THis says a lot about our society and explains why it is headed for the toilet real fast.
Have you even imagined doing this in your wildest dreams?

What I do on my 2 days off ..is chillin, wear my old short pants and tattered T shirt, if wife is sweet and nice smellin and the kids are not bratty I 'll take them to Macdonald for breakfast and enjoy hanging with them.If my wife don't even bother to comb her hair ( that white t shirt and legging flower prints pants, she is wearing that for 7 days now, yuck!!!) and she nags and complained that I am a slob, lazy good for nothing, I will run to go out and hang with my buddies to play pool, and go to the bar, drink beers and watch striptease dancers.

My wife and children come first on my weekends. We go out to the movies, beach (depending on the weather), the park, the mall, pretty much wherever they want to go. I don't feel the need to separate my family and friends, most our friends are married and have children so when we get together it involves our families.

it is nice to do both some family things but nothing is wrong with going out with buddies for a little bit of enjoyment with your friends but family does come first so do the both family first though good luck and have a good time with family and friends.

Are you asking cause your husband wants to hang out with his friends?
The correct answer is spend time with your wife and kids.
Especially the kids,as they are growing and will never be those cute little cuddly munchkins for very long.
If he wants to be with his guy friends,he may not be right for marriage and family yet.
(he's immature)
