The answer is C.

Take, for example, the fractions 3/4 and 6/8. You multiply 8 by 3 and get 24, and then multiply 4 by 6 and get 24. In this case, since the numbers are equal, your fractions are also equal. This is why the process is called "cross" multiplication. You multiply the numerator with the opposite denominator.

Hope that helps!

The answer is C.

If you have the proprtion a/b = c/d, then ad = bc
a and d are called the extremes and b and c are called the extremes. This is often stated that the product of the means equals the product of the extremes.

Conversely, if ad =bc, then either pair can be made the extremes and the other pair made the means. So if ad =bc, then
a/b = c/d or b/a = d/c or b/d = a/c. . Any combination is OK as long as cross multiplication results in ad =bc.

It means you mulitply one denominator by the opposite numerator, then the same for the other denominator and the remaining numerator then multiply both denominators together.
