All Jap bikes and most other brands use
Black for ground (-)
Red for positive (+)
The wires that connect directly to the battery.

Negative.
Remove the battery from the motorcycle and charge using the polarity marked on it. When it's charged, put it back. Easier than trying to get those clamps in there, and harder to go wrong.

Negative on a negative grounded system.
