First thing you will have to do before trying to unplug the two wiring connectors,is to apply heat to the area where they plug in.if you don`t you will damage the connectors and not be able to plug it in the new one.I always use a hair-drier .It produces just enough heat to soften up the sealant to make it turn loose.next remove the nut on shifter shaft and remove arm,take 2 bolts out that hold it on .slide it off.You will also need to apply heat when plugging in conn on new sw.

it bolts to the driver side of the transmission. sensor should have a mark on it that lines up with neutral make sure that is lined up or it will not start
