hell yea the pats are disrespectful. they think they can do anything since they have 3 rings. belichick is classless as well shoving the cameraman to give mangini a pity hug. you dont dance on the opposing teams logo and mock your opponent that is disrespectful and classless. LT was right and the pats were lucky to win. SD beat themselves.

First and foremost, the Pats were disrespecting the San Diego organization, but Shawn Merriman got what he deserved. He called the Pats out and was not an impact player that game. You should also consider the fact that the back-up players on the Pats did that. I have met some of the starters personally like Tom Brady, Tedy Bruschi, and Mike Vrabel. LT is still right to be offended especially for the fact that he was unstoppable that game. Of course I may have a favorable opinion, but you got to realize that the Chargers played stupidly. Think about it. Why wouldn't you run with LT more on 3rd and short? Why would you try and pick up a fumbled punt instead of diving on it. Why in the world would go for it on 4th and long in field goal range and you have a pro bowl kicker, even though he isn't clutch (Ex: 2004 & 2007 Playoffs). Finally, why would you EVER intercept a football on 4th down when you are surrounded, especially when you fumbled and were winning and could run the clock out.

Why was it disrespectful? The Chargers have uses THE SAME CELEBRATION after far less meaningless regular season victories and nobody said anything or overreacted like they did. And if the Pats were disrespectful then why not say the Chargers were as well, after all Merriman ran his mouth all week and I remember not 1 but 2 Personal Fouls that included a head butt (he should have been ejected). Teams celebrate....if they dont want to have the other team celebrate then the answer is simple....Win next time and they wont have to worry about the other team....Oh yea....they can celebrate like they have done many times this season. LT is a classy guy who showed NO class and hopefully will learn that he behaved wrong.

This is completely blown out of proportion. LT was a sore loser. The Chargers were over confident going into that game. They had no business to be. Regardless of your season record, regardless of how many probowlers you have, you're going up against a dynasty. You're competing against a team that is regularly the underdog and comes out and shows everyone, and thats what happened on Sunday. All week, everyone was doubting the pats. The Chargers, already making superbowl party plans. NOT ALLOWING PATS FANS TO BUY TICKETS ON TICKETMASTER! They thought they had that game in their pocket. All week the pats just bit their lip and said, hey, we'll see who wins. And now, they finally got to blow off some steam. To say they are classless? This team is known for being exceptionally humble. ESPECIALLY Bellicheck. So they celebrated a win, big deal? They took an hour to enjoy it, and right now they are back to work at how they are going to beat another amazing team. LT may be a great player, but he has def shown his ignorance this week.

Classless and disrespectful but it is ok for Merriman to dance around when he does something good. The Chargers gave the game away and the Pats rubbed it in their faces. If players and fans don't like what the Pats did then the NFL should throw flags everytime the Merriman's and Lewis' dance around. An eye for an eye.
I agree with you though, I hope Peyton takes care of the Pats. Pats don't sit well with losses.

I agree that the Pats were disrespectful, but LT should've kept his cool. Which I really shouldn't say, I'd probably act the same way as he did. It's easy for everyone to criticize LT for what he done and say that he should've acted differently, but no one can really say that unless they're in the same situation.
Everyone at some time in their life, is going to say or do something they regret. My arguement was Belichick grabbing that cameraman last week and shoving him away, that guy was just trying to get a pic! And I'm sure he regrets that. Those 2, along with Brady are some of the classiest guys you'll ever see in the L. LT just had a bad night.

I know some patriot player said that they (the Chargers) talked smack to them. So, are the Chargers the only ones? does that mean that the patriots have never talked smack? does that justify the patriots actions? i don't think so. I think it was disrespectful of them to dance on the team's logo even if the other team is bad (which i don't think they were). Nothing justifies what the Patriots did. It doesn't matter what the chargers did. You win with class and lose with dignity. The patriots did not win with class. I don't care what the Chargers did, because if the Chargers didn't play with class they don't have class, but that does not make New England gain any class by claiming that.

Had LT not over reacted no one watching TV would have saw it. If you want to talk about bad sportsmanship and classless behavior focus on the Charger who head butted the Patriot player and put their team out of field goal range. Millions of fans and impressionalbe children saw that. Sounds like sour grapes from the Chargers.

I'll start by saying I'm a Pats fan. I hear Shawne Merriman did his dance on opposing teams field when the Chargers won the game. That the Pats players mimmiked Merriman is dumb but doesn't make them "classless". Why wasn't Merriman "disrespectful" when he did his dance on "away" games? In reality, the Chargers were just angry for losing a game they should have won.

It was disappointing to see the Pats act that way, but at least they were smart enough to taunt after they knew they won the game. Charger players actions were just as disgraceful, but they made the mistake of taunting while the outcome was very much undecided. Chargers have great and talented players but don't have the smarts to beat a team like the Pats.
