omg, don't be paranoid and ridiculous people. she's not gonna be stranded in her house for days. i work at a grocery store and it's annoying when the whole town tries to buy everything from the store just becasue it might snow and sleet a little bit. DONT go to the store becuase u wont need to. u most likely have everything u need allready.

Go to the store and get candles, flashlight batteries and all the food you'll need so you won't have to go out driving later. Milk, bread, eggs, and cookies disappear from store shelves the fastest, you may not be able to get them later. Maybe pick up some movies to watch in case the power goes out.
Make sure your kids bring home all their school books so they can do their homework.
Bring documents and files home from work with you so you can work on them if you can't get to work tomorrow.
NEVER burn charcoal or propane heaters in the house to keep warm if the power goes out, unless you have plenty of ventillation. Lots of people die of carbon monoxide poisoning each year doing that.

Hmmm. Well in the event the power goes out, you wil want candles. Also, make sure you guys have plenty of blankets. I know this sounds strange, but believe it or not, you may want to invest in a generator--we have one.

Well, if your weather men are anything like ours, you dont have anything to worry about. We had a freezing rain warning last night and it got up to 36 degrees overnight and we have flooding. It never did freeze. I would prepare just in case, but dont worry to much.

Go to the store and stock up on every thing you will need. Food toilet paper, cheez wiz, whatever. Then make sure you have salt for your drive way. Or sand. Then makes sure you have wood for the fire place. Then stand on your head.

Depends where you live, rock salt for walkways for sure and chains for your tires so they grab, but it would be safest to just stay home. Black ice can be dangerous
